Oxford traffic filters: The filter effect

We believe that reducing congestion in and around Oxford will have many benefits.

We aim to make travel better by reducing congestion. Fewer private car journeys will benefit the city. In peak hours, traffic will drop by 20 per cent citywide and 35 per cent in the centre of Oxford.

  • enabling new and improved bus routes, particularly in the 'Eastern Arc' - from Summertown, Marston, Headington and Cowley to John Radcliffe Hospital

  • making it easier for vans and lorries to deliver in Oxford by reducing journey times

Driving in Oxford outside of the traffic filter areas
