Welcome to Dovecote Events, a family-run, exclusive wedding and events venue in a rural Oxfordshire setting with stunning views of rolling hills, rivers and fields. If a country wedding is what you’re after, you simply can’t beat this idyllic venue.
Home to Dovecote Barn, a Grade II listed building, it's full of character and charm featuring exposed brickwork and oak beams. Having been lovingly restored and now licensed for civil weddings, partnership ceremonies and the renewal of vows, we aim to provide you with a beautiful setting for your perfect day.
With its naturally stunning appearance, the barn can be dressed to suit your individual style – the only limit is your imagination! Whether you want to cover it in flowers, hang lanterns from the beams or light it up with dozens of fairy lights, the choice is completely yours. The barn can accommodate up to 100 seated guests and can be flexible with the layout of seating arrangements, plus the gallery gives you a wonderful location for photography.
If you’re looking to create a festival vibe, we also have our very own two-hat Tipi which seats up to 120 day guests. There’s even space for your guests to camp in the surrounding fields, allowing a true festival experience!
For those looking for something a little more traditional or for larger gatherings, we can also provide a marquee venue for your reception which can accommodate up to 200 guests. With both the tipi and marquee, you can still enjoy use of the barn, included in the venue price, for your ceremony and drinks reception for up to 120 people.
With a history of providing delicious catering we also provide all wedding catering in-house, saving you the efforts of searching for your own. We have a selection of sumptuous menus available or can provide bespoke menus if you have something a little different in mind. Our friendly team will be there to help you step by step and a private food tasting is even included to ensure you have exactly what you have imagined.

Getting here
From the north on M40, leave at Junction 11 onto A422 (Banbury) In one mile at third roundabout turn left onto A4260. In four miles at traffic lights in Adderbury turn left onto B4100. In 1/4m turn right and follow private tarmac road for half a mile into site.
From south on A4260, about 2 1/2m past Deddington at traffic lights in Adderbury turn right onto B4100. In 1/4m turn right and follow private tarmac road for half a mile into site.
From south east on M40, leave at Junction 10 onto A43 (signed Northampton). In half a mile at roundabout turn left onto B4100,about 2 1/4m past Aynho (one mile past bridge over River Cherwell and Oxford Canal) turn left and follow the private tarmac road for half a mile into site.
We are situated next door to Katherine House Hospice, and you will see the "Dovecote Events" signpost from the road before entering through our gates.
