Twelfth Night and A Midsummer Nights Dream Double bill

Oxfordshire Museum is opening the beautiful gardens for a wonderful performance of Twelfth Night and A Midsummer Night's Dream by 440 Theatre.

Experience the hilarity of two of the Bard’s best comedies condensed into short, side-splitting shows. In a mere 40 minutes each, they distil the essence of Shakespeare's masterpieces into uproarious performances.

Prepare for an unforgettable night of laughter and with a British Seaside Twist. 2024 will see the company reach more people than ever before and they invite you to join them on their biggest tour to date.

Event details

Please bring your own low-backed chairs and blankets. You are welcome to bring a picnic but can also purchase picnics and refreshments at the cafe.

There is level access to the garden and limited disabled parking out the front of the building.

No dogs except assistance dogs.

No smoking.

The performance will continue despite the great British summer's attempts to ruin it! Umbrellas are not encouraged as they ruin sight lines, but macs and raincoats are just as fetching! In the event of lightning that threatens safety, the event may be cancelled.

Parking: The museum has no parking of its own.
Park at the Hensington Road carpark postcode OX20 1JH or there is limited free parking outside the museum after 6pm.

Four Forty Theatre proves there doesn't need a high-value production to provide high-quality entertainment.

Their inimitable style and charisma set them apart as one of the most playfully ambitious theatre groups.

This is an exceptionally special, hilarious, speedy tour of two of Shakespeare’s arguably greatest plays.
