Electoral review of Oxfordshire 2023-2025

Local Government Boundary Commission for England's review of electoral arrangements in Oxfordshire.

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) is currently reviewing
the electoral arrangements for Oxfordshire County Council.

This review will decide how many councillors will serve the county council and which
communities each councillor will serve. The changes will take effect from the May 2025
elections.

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England have confirmed that they are
minded to recommend that the Council elect 69 councillors in the future, an increase of
six councillors across the county.

In February 2024, the Commission advised that they intended to consult further on the draft
recommendations for Oxfordshire in the Cherwell and Vale of White Horse District Council
areas, as their new recommendations departed significantly from their draft recommendations
originally published in Autumn 2023. This consultation will take place between 27 February
and 22 April 2024, after which the Commission will publish their final recommendations
report for the whole of Oxfordshire on 30 July 2024.
