The Makerspace is the place to explore new technology, learn new skills, encourage STEM and STEAM learning (science, technology, engineering, arts and maths) and get involved in a range of activities.

Equipment

The Makerspace has a wide range of equipment including:

• 10 Chromebooks
• Six iPads
• Dremel 3D40 3D Printer
• Prusa Mini+ 3D Printer
• Cameo digital cutter
• Sphero programmable robots
• BBC micro:bits
• Oculus Quest 2 VR headsets
• Sewing Machines
• Tello EDU Drone
• Insta360 camera
• Two CRT TVs for retro gaming
• Blue Yeti microphone
• A range of books on making

We also hold a selection of Lego and Board Games, including:

• Wingspan
• Isle of Cats
• Root
• Chess sets
• Ticket to Ride
• Dungeons and Dragons

Activities

Activities include:

• Monday 3:15pm-5pm - After school Lego Club for children
• Tuesday 5pm-7pm - Makers Club for teens and adults 
• Thursday 4:30pm-7pm – Board games and Dungeons and Dragons
• Saturday 9:30am-10:30am – Code Club for 8-11 year olds
• Saturday 11am-12pm – Origami for all, beginners welcome

Volunteering in the Makerspace

We are looking for volunteers to share their skills and interests in making, technology, and crafts on a regular basis. You don't need to be an expert. We are particularly looking for people interested in 3D design, and sewing.
